This position supports daily warehouse operations through loading, unloading, staging, and securing freight while delivering professional service to internal teams and customers.This position is non-supervisory.What You’ll DoFreight Handling & Warehouse OperationsLoad and unload freight safely from various types of vehiclesMove freight, materials, and inventory within the warehouse, yard, and staging areasTag, label, and mark freight with appropriate identifying informationVerify freight against work orders and shipping documentationRecord quantities and units handled or movedLoad and properly secure flatbed freightEnsure loads comply with water restriction and transportation requirementsCustomer & Team SupportAssist customers by phone and in person in a courteous, professional mannerCommunicate clearly with coworkers and supervisors regarding work assignmentsSupport other departments and team members as neededSafety, Equipment & Facility CareConsistently follow all safety policies and proceduresPerform basic inspection, cleaning, and minor maintenance of vehicles and equipmentMaintain a clean, organized warehouse environmentUse proper lifting techniques and material-handling equipment at all timesAdministrative & General DutiesAccurately complete required paperwork and documentationRead work orders or follow verbal instructions to determine assignments and equipment needsPerform other duties as assigned to support operationsYou Have These SkillsEffective English communication skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing)Strong attention to detail and situational awarenessTime management and task prioritization skillsSound judgment and decision-making abilityAbility to safely operate or learn to operate warehouse and material-handling equipmentSpatial awareness and coordination in a fast-paced environmentAnd These QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredForklift certification and/or Hazardous Materials certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be consideredExtra Credit If You HavePrevious transportation, warehouse, or freight-handling experience preferredPhysical & Work Environment RequirementsAbility to independently lift up to 70 poundsAbility to move loads up to 200 pounds using appropriate equipmentAbility to perform repetitive physical movements including lifting, bending, reaching, grasping, and standingGood manual dexterity, balance, and coordinationAbility to work in a warehouse environment with exposure to weather elements and vehicle exhaust fumesThe hourly range is posted for this position in Washington.
