Full Stack Developer (Jira Platform Engineering)Location: Cleveland, OH (Onsite 5 days)Contract: 6 Months+Job SummaryWe are seeking a Full Stack Developer to join the Jira Platform Engineering team. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining integrations across the Atlassian ecosystem, including Jira, Jira Service Management, and enterprise applications. The ideal candidate combines strong full stack development expertise with hands-on experience building API-driven integrations, workflow automation, and scalable cloud-based solutions that improve operational efficiency and enterprise reporting.Key ResponsibilitiesFull Stack Development & IntegrationsDesign, develop, and maintain integrations between Jira, Atlassian products, and enterprise systems using REST APIs and webhooks.Build scalable backend services and middleware to automate business processes and synchronize data across platforms.Develop clean, maintainable, and efficient code using modern development best practices.Integrate cloud-based services and enterprise applications to support business operations.Jira Platform EngineeringConfigure and administer Jira projects, workflows, issue types, screens, permissions, and field structures.Design and implement Jira automation solutions using native automation and scripting capabilities.Manage governance processes for new projects, fields, enhancements, and platform standards.Support enterprise reporting through standardized Jira configurations and data models.AI & AutomationDevelop and maintain AI-powered workflow solutions using Rovo or similar AI automation tools.Leverage AI capabilities to improve search, reporting, workflow execution, and user productivity.Stay current with emerging Atlassian AI capabilities and automation best practices.Collaboration & SupportPartner with business stakeholders, platform engineers, and development teams to deliver scalable solutions.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to integrations, APIs, automations, and Jira platform functionality.Contribute to platform governance, documentation, and continuous process improvements.Required QualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).ExperienceProven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar software engineering role.Hands-on experience developing enterprise integrations and API-driven applications.Experience configuring and administering Jira and Atlassian products within enterprise environments.Technical SkillsRequiredStrong proficiency with Python and Node.js.Experience developing REST APIs, web services, and webhook-based integrations.Hands-on experience configuring Jira, Jira Service Management, workflows, automations, permissions, and project administration.Experience integrating Atlassian products and marketplace applications.Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or similar.Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.Proficiency using Git and modern software development practices.PreferredExperience with Atlassian Rovo or similar AI-powered automation platforms.Knowledge of AI-driven workflow automation and intelligent search capabilities.Experience supporting enterprise platform governance and operational reporting.Ideal Candidate ProfileStrong combination of full stack development, API integration, and Jira platform expertise.Experienced building scalable automation and enterprise workflow solutions.Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Strong communicator who collaborates effectively across engineering and business teams.Passionate about automation, platform engineering, and delivering enterprise-grade software solutions.
