Data Processing Specialist - Mailing and Variable Data

Job Summary: The Data Processing Specialist - Mailing & Variable Data is responsible for receiving, validating, transforming, and preparing incoming customer data for use in high-volume direct mail and card production. This role ensures that all data meets postal regulations, customer specifications, and production requirements prior to release to manufacturing. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Receive, review, and process incoming customer data files for direct mail and variable data production.Interpret customer specifications, job tickets, and production capabilities to ensure accurate data setup.Format, normalize, and integrate customer-supplied data into approved mailing-ready formats.Perform address hygiene, merge/purge, deduplication, postal presort, and file creation.Prepare and review data proofs, address samples, and variable data layouts for approval.Collaborate with production and customer service teams to resolve data issues. RequirementsHigh School diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferredMinimum two (2) years of experience in the printing or direct mail industryProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Windows operating systemsExperience with mailing software such as BCC, Satori, Quadient, Window Book, or Pitney Bowes preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively across all levels of the organization.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.Effective analytical thinking, problem-solving and conflict resolution skillsEffective time-management skills; dependable and able to work productively with minimal supervisionStrong interpersonal, collaboration and team building abiltiesDemonstrated ability to deal with customer demands and changing prioritiesHighly organized, detail oriented and ability to multi-taskAbility to keep abreast of latest software innovations and committed to enhancing knowledge and skillsSelf-motivated yet able to take direction well Salary Description $26-30
