Responsibilities include planning, organizing, and overseeing programs and events that support the spiritual formation and engagement of youth within the parish. The Coordinator will lead youth faith education programs, facilitate community-building activities, and collaborate with parish leadership to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment. Additional duties involve implementing catechetical instruction, offering pastoral guidance, and ensuring alignment with Catholic teachings and theology.QualificationsKnowledge and experience in Religious Education and CatechesisStrong understanding of Catholic Theology and Theology principlesSkills in Pastoral care and youth mentorshipExcellent communication, organizational, and leadership abilitiesAbility to work collaboratively and inclusively within a parish communityBachelor’s degree in Theology, Religious Studies, or a related field preferredThis ministry-centered role is dedicated to leading 5-8th grade students, high school students, and young adults (21 to 35 year of age) closer to Jesus Christ through meaningful relationships, solid Catholic teaching, and engaging community experiences.For the summer months, the incumbent will help the Religious Education Director with VBSEssential Tasks:- Provide leadership and support for all youth ministries and young adult ministries in the parish, including Young Adult Ministry, Open Arms Ministry, and Holy Family Circle- Chairs the Youth Ministry Core Team, which coordinates all of the lead stakeholders in the youth and young adult ministries of the parish.- Mentor the spiritual and moral development of high school students, MS students, and young adults within the parish.- Manage trip and retreat registrations, safe environment compliance, and other administrative procedures for all relevant ministries.- Communicate ministry information clearly and effectively to participants, parents, students, and parish staff as needed.- Recruit, train, and manage committed volunteer leaders and team members.- Plan and oversee all young adult and youth ministry events, including retreats, camps, excursions, and service opportunities.- Cultivate strong, supportive relationships within the parish and the broader Nashville community.In addition, the Youth and Young Adult Minister will cultivate a vibrant and growing community of young adults. This role focuses on both spiritual formation and community building.Tasks Include:- Coordinating and leading regular Bible studies rooted in Scripture and Church teaching.- Planning and hosting monthly social gatherings that foster friendship, joy, and authentic Catholic community.- Organizing quarterly formative events to support spiritual growth and deeper engagement with the faith.- Taking initiative to grow the ministry both spiritually and numerically through outreach, personal invitation, and consistent presence and have a presence in Diocesean events.Requirements & Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) required, this position is entry level with 0-2 years experience- Substantial training and experience in Catholic doctrine and youth ministry.- Willingness to engage further training in theology and ministry as needed.- Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church.- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.- A spirit of collaboration, maturity, and a deep personal faith.To apply:https://forms.gle/h7zew1HLbFmAJUEW6
