Injection Molding Mold Setter

MMI Engineered Solutions is growing and looking for a driven Mold Setter to join our team at our plastic injection molding facility in Saline, Michigan. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you'll be responsible for mold changeovers, setup, and supporting production to ensure we are running quality parts safely and efficiently.This position is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, solving problems, and being a key part of keeping production running.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform mold setups and changeovers according to established process guidelinesPrepare and stage all required equipment for mold setups, including temperature controllers, hoses, and fixturesFollow all safety procedures, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out, during mold installationCoordinate with the production and setup team to prepare tools and equipment for upcoming jobsTear down molds and properly store molds and auxiliary equipment after production runsIdentify and communicate any mold quality or safety concerns before and during installationQualifications2–5 years of plastic injection molding experience preferredStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsAbility to read and follow technical instructions and setup documentationForklift and overhead crane experience preferredGood teamwork, communication, and time management skillsBasic computer skills (spreadsheets, work instructions, etc.)Work Environment & ExpectationsManufacturing environment (may be hot, noisy, and dusty at times)Position requires frequent walking and physical activity on the production floorSafety is a top priority - mold installations must be stopped if a quality or safety issue is identifiedTwo Schedule OptionsA Shift: Monday through Wednesday 6:00am-12:15pm, and alternating Thursday/Friday or Saturday/Sunday 6:00am-6:15pm.
