Job DescriptionSOLUTION ARCHITECT – MAINFRAME REHOST• At least 12 to 15 years of relevant IT experience in Mainframe Technology(Batch and Online applications)• Hands on experience in Mainframe Rehost projects with Rehost tools Experience for ex: Microfocus, Raincode, Tmaxsoft etc..• Hands on experience in effort estimation in Mainframe Rehost Projects• Design and development in CICS/IMS-DC, COBOL, Assembler, PL/1 • Knowledge of current industry trends in modernization• Excellent oral and written communication skills• Exposure to Agile and DevOps concepts, tools and methodologies• Exposure to Cloud, ESB, RDBMS concepts and middleware technologies• Able to lead a team of consultants in modernization/transformation Assessments• Able to handhold and guide modernization projects• Good understanding of various modernization concepts of legacy platforms: Componentization, Rearchitecting, Re-engineering, Re-hosting, Data archival and decom• Advise customers on architectural and technical aspects of systems development and integration to ensure relevant strategies, policies and standards are applied correctly• Knowledge of various BFSI domains and broad based technology trends• Experience in API, MicroServices and SOA concepts• Understand application architecture, current challenges and propose appropriate solution for Mainframe Rehosting Projects• Setup Tools like Micro focus Enterprise Server / TmaxSoft - OpenFrame on Linux for rehosting z/OS applications• Data Migration and Application inventory migration from z/OS to Emulator based platforms like Microfocus, TmaxSoft OpenFrame.• Setup and build demonstration lab for rehosting Requests in collaboration with Rehost product vendors• Conduct Assessment of applications and provide right choice of target platform, architecture, guiding principles, roadmap, co-existence strategy and effort estimation for Mainframe Rehost Projects• Draft responses to RFIs and RFPs across BFSI business group for Mainframe Rehosting Solution themes• Conduct or participate in technology forums and enhancing community of practice• Design and implement the recommended target state architecture• Translate business requirements into technical architecture by coordinating with various technical COEs, that aligns to customer strategy• Deliver comprehensive design for the target state that meets customer expectations• Present solution options & business case to CXOs, convince them for partner with us.The ideal candidate will be a qualified architect who is able to construct clear diagrams using AutoCAD. This candidate should have an in-depth knowledge of all steps related to project completion and diligently communicate with necessary people to ensure timely execution. This candidate should also be able to conduct quality assurance checks on a frequent basis in order to ensure regulations are being followed.
