VDC/BIM Engineer
Cherry City Electric is accepting applications for a full-time VDC/BIM Engineer. The VDC/BIM Engineer will work in a team-oriented environment designing and drafting a 3D model of the electrical systems for coordination and electrical installation drawings for various types of construction projects.
Responsibilities:
Perform coordination, detailing and modeling for the following electrical installations:
Underground Duct Bank Routing
Electrical Room Layouts
Overhead Conduit Routing
Seismic Bracing Installations
IT Data Room Layouts
Light Fixture layouts
Concrete Slab Embeds, Sleeves and Blockouts
In-Wall Device Layouts
Trimble Layouts
Use of BIM for Prefab
RCP (including Light Fixture Layouts, Fire Alarm, Nurse Call and Security)
Requirements:
Strong attention to detail
Understanding of Oregon Building Codes and NEC
A good attitude and the ability to work in a team environment
Good communication skills
Dependability
Customer focused
Strong organizational skills
Field experience (not required, but added benefit)
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Revit MEP, Navis & AutoCAD; overall proficiency/comfortability with computers and technology
