Job Responsibilities Installing and maintaining the Oracle RDBMS Managing/maintaining challenging database storage structures and backups Setting up database user accounts Regularly updating database security protocols Query tuning and debugging application issues related to database use Refactor database maintenance processes for improved performance, stability, and scalability Work with our team of developers, analysts and data scientists Communicate clearly and effectively (orally and in writing) with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders Contribute to scoping and design discussions Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree (B. A./ B. S.) from four-year College or University in computer engineering or computer science Strong understanding of relational databases under high transaction rates Oracle/PostGreSQL RDBMS Experience with Azure/OCI-hosted databases High availability/redundant RDBMS configurations Complex SQL Language Preferred Qualifications Strong background in programming related to applied mathematical, engineering, and physical sciences Performance computing, including distributed and parallel computing technologies Oracle and PL/SQL Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) MDX/XMLA Ability to communicate with impact and confidence, both orally and in writing Strong interpersonal skills, teamwork skills, and work ethic Knowledge of wholesale electricity markets; passion for renewables and storage Experience with code review, architecture, development, and promotion processes Compensation: $100,000 - $130,000 Negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
