Pharmacist
Primary Role: Partnering with the Pharmacy Manager and team, you will be responsible for preparing and dispensing pharmaceuticals to patients while maintaining a high level of responsibility and expertise. Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM Closed weekends and most major federal holidays. Essential Job Functions: Review and execute provider prescriptions for appropriateness and legality. Organize the pharmacy to improve product identification and workflow efficiency. Maintain control over medication inventory, including stocking, labeling, and monitoring for expiry or deterioration. Listen to customer needs, answer questions, and provide information and advice regarding medication use. ccurately prepare medications using correct dosages and materials for each patient. Maintain detailed patient profiles and records of all medication activities. Stay current with HIPAA guidelines and fraud, waste, and abuse credentialing. Ensure compliance with all applicable legal rules, regulations, and procedures. Oversee and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws as well as facility policies. Direct the daily work of pharmacy technicians, provide input on performance evaluations, and communicate any performance or behavioral concerns to senior management. Manage pharmacy technician schedules, and communicate requests for leave or accommodation to senior management. Perform other duties as necessary. Education & Skills: Current license to practice pharmacy (PharmD) in Pennsylvania (required). Excellent oral and written communication skills (required). Great leadership, communication, and management skills (required). Experience: Minimum 4-5 years of retail pharmacy experience, including at least 3 years in a pharmacy management role (required). Previous experience with patient management systems (preferred). Experience in a leadership position is helpful. Physical Requirements: bility to stand for prolonged periods. Frequent use of hands and fine motor skills to handle objects, tools, or controls. Certifications and Skills: Current Pennsylvania Pharmacy License ( PharmD ). 4-5 years retail pharmacy experience, including at least 3 years of pharmacy management experience. Great leadership, communication, and management skills.
