Network Engineer
Overview
In this Network Engineer role, you support a government client's global enterprise networks, handling installation, maintenance, and incident resolution across LAN/WAN environments. You’ll draft standard network changes, assist Tier III engineers on projects, and manage configuration and asset records. The role involves hands-on troubleshooting, site surveys, and coordination of upgrades, with a security-conscious, collaborative work culture. ResponsibilitiesInstall and maintain client LAN/WAN devicesRespond to incidents and troubleshoot to resolution within SLA/SLODraft and implement standard network change requestsSupport Tier III engineers on incidents and projects (site surveys, TEMS, equipment installs)Perform topology updates and asset management to ensure accurate recordsCoordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs, or upgradesPerform IOS upgrades for Cisco, Juniper, Brocade, Foundry OSUtilize Visio for network diagrams; work with ServiceNow and ConfluenceLimited COMSEC responsibilities as needed
