Job Title: Oracle RDB EngineerLocation: Chicago, IL(Remote)Duration- 12+ Month (Long Term)Responsibilities:Experience with VSI OpenVMSBe able to identify OpenVMS issues relating to Oracle RDB such as performance, logicals, batch jobs, file protectionsBe familiar with user identifiers and the Authorize utilityExperience with Oracle RDBBe able to perform RDB database backups and restoresUse RMU/ANALYZE to identify fragmentated records, bad indexes, etcUse RMU/EXTRACT to generate DDL as neededBe able to create indexes, add/remove tables and columnsUse RMU/SHOW Statistics to identify performance and locking issuesUse RDB tools to identify locks and blockers and remedy those quicklyUnderstands Oracle SQL/Services and SQL*NET for RDB (Also called OCI Services)Use RDB debug flags to identify inefficient indexes and problem queries
