Backed by an 80-year-old, highly successful family enterprise, the company is executing an ambitious growth strategy supported by a broader multibillion-dollar platform spanning redistribution, temperature-controlled logistics, freight management, and supply-chain services.We are seeking a Vice President of Sales & Purchasing to elevate commercial performance, strengthen integration across the business, and help shape the next stage of enterprise growth.The near-term focus is to unify and optimize existing operations—standardizing systems, improving coordination, and accelerating organic growth using current capacity. This role is about transforming strong regional businesses into a cohesive, scalable national platform.The company has expanded through acquisitions, building dairy strength in the Southeast and protein capability on the West Coast, and continues to differentiate itself through commodity expertise, exceptional service, and value creation for distributors.REPORTS TO: PresidentLocation: Philadelphia, PAKEY PRIORITIES• Lead and modernize the sales & purchasing organization while maintaining a strong service culture• Drive profitable growth through new business development, channel expansion, and improved execution• Enhance pricing strategy, forecasting, and planning discipline• Improve coordination across sales, purchasing, operations, and finance• Introducing technology-enabled selling tools, ERP integration, and digital processes to increase productivity• Develop and mentor a tenured team, elevating leadership capability and accountability• Expand reach across core and emerging channels (including retail, c-store, government, and institutional segments)• Contribute to building a more scalable, multi-regional commercial platformIDEAL EXPERIENCE• Proven ability to lead a full commercial engine—sales, purchasing, customer growth, and cross-functional execution.• Experience improving go-to-market performance, strengthening new-business generation, and aligning demand with supply-side realities.A leadership style that blends strategic thinking, hands-on execution, cultural stewardship, and strong partnership with senior leadership.• Demonstrated success building scalable commercial models that deepen supplier relationships, sharpen category and channel execution, and support profitable growth.• Ability to translate regional strengths into enterprise-wide value and build a unified commercial growth engine.• Strong background in customer and channel prioritization, forecasting discipline, and execution follow-through.• Collaborative approach that enhances coordination with operations, finance, customer service, and platform leadership.• Experience modernizing commercial organizations through improved processes, systems, digital enablement, and practical technology adoption.• Executive maturity and communication skills to contribute meaningfully to senior-level strategic discussions with leadership and ownership.• Experience in food service distribution or adjacent channels• Category exposure to dairy and/or frozen foods; protein experience is a plus
