Team members are encouraged by their superiors to push themselves and are provided with the resources to ensure that success is achieved.We are currently searching for a Restaurant Server for the Hotel deLuxe, Portland, Oregon.Why Work With Us?It’s a fun company to work for!We recognize efforts and reward results.Great benefits package, including 401K.Promotional opportunities with a growing company.Excellent incentive plan $16.00Job Description:The Restaurant Server is responsible for sales of food and beverage to customers and responsible for accurate accounting on guest checks.Duties and Responsibilities:Greet, seat, and assist guests with menu selectionsTake and accurately relay orders to the kitchenServe food and beverages promptly, ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the mealUse suggestive selling techniques for appetizers, desserts, and drinksAddress and resolve guest concerns promptlyClear tables and reset for new guestsProcess checks and payments accuratelyComplete assigned side work and maintain a clean work areaSupport team members to ensure smooth serviceMinimum Education Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Experience/Skill Requirements:Friendly, professional demeanor with a neat, well-groomed appearanceStrong public relations skills and enjoyment in meeting guestsAbility to remain poised and handle difficult situations with tactCalm under pressure and adaptable to varying work hoursDependable, honest, and open to feedback and trainingKnowledge of food, drinks, garnishes, and menu service timesFamiliarity with table setups, condiments, and overall food & beverage operationsHMC is an equal opportunity employer.
