By joining our network, you position yourself for opportunities aligned with your career goals.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and test embedded hardware and firmware for factory automation and control systems.Integrate embedded systems with existing manufacturing equipment, PLCs, and SCADA systems.Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex embedded system issues on the production floor to minimize downtime.Optimize embedded software and hardware for performance, reliability, and efficiency in a high-volume manufacturing environment.Develop and implement testing protocols for embedded systems to ensure product quality and operational stability.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, production) to define system requirements and specifications.Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance for deployed embedded systems throughout their lifecycle.Recommended QualificationsProficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems development, including bare-metal and RTOS environments.Extensive experience with microcontroller architectures (e.g., ARM Cortex-M) and their peripheral interfaces.Strong understanding and practical experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, CAN bus, EtherCAT).Proficiency in hardware debugging using tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG/SWD debuggers.Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for test (DFT) principles for production environments.Bonus QualificationsExperience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET)Familiarity with manufacturing execution systems (MES) or SCADA integrationKnowledge of design for testability (DFT) and design for manufacturability (DFM) principlesExperience with quality control methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing) in a production environmentJob Titles That Should ApplyEmbedded Software Engineer, Firmware Engineer, Embedded Developer, IoT Engineer, Real-time Embedded Engineer, Hardware/Software Engineer, Microcontroller Engineer, Device EngineerWhy Pivot GroupThe Pivot Group was founded by manufacturing professionals who&#39;ve been on both sides of the hiring process.
