Director of Marketing

OverviewThe Director of Marketing plays a key role in driving brand awareness, guest engagement, sales growth, and national expansion efforts for the Simplevenue restaurant group, including Sushi by Bou, Omakaseed, Wagyu Room, and Sushi Suite.Responsibilities include leading strategic marketing initiatives across digital, experiential, and traditional channels; overseeing brand partnerships, collaborations, activations, and new venue launch campaigns; managing national and local marketing strategy across existing and emerging markets; and working closely with hotel partners and internal teams to support continued growth. The position also oversees paid media strategy, customer engagement initiatives, brand positioning, and cross-functional marketing projects, while helping shape the future direction and creative vision of a rapidly expanding national hospitality brand.Key ResponsibilitiesMarketing Administration & Department Oversight Manage departmental marketing budgets and expense tracking. Liaise with accounting to oversee vendor management, invoicing, and payments. Maintain and oversee the master marketing calendar across all brands and locations. Administer marketing project management systems and workflows. Identify, coordinate, and oversee brand collaborations, partnerships, and promotional initiatives. Creative Department Management Oversee organization and management of all brand assets. Develop presentations and marketing materials for new projects and venue launches. Provide creative direction for digital advertising, printed collateral, and brand campaigns. Manage print production, including merchandise and branded materials. Recruit and oversee freelance photographers, videographers, and creative contractors. Manage companywide signature branding via WiseStamp. Oversee design, production, and installation of venue signage. New Location Marketing & Openings Manage preopening marketing timelines and execution schedules for new venues. Coordinate hotel partner integration and launch marketing efforts. Oversee production of opening collateral and branded materials. Lead public relations strategy for openings, including media outreach and curated guest lists. Coordinate with paid media teams on opening campaigns across digital platforms. Partner with influencer teams to execute creator and VIP opening strategies. Manage onsite marketing activations and grand opening events. Local Store Marketing Manage hotel partner marketing relationships and collaborative initiatives. Oversee local concierge outreach, community partnerships, and neighborhood engagement strategies. Public Relations Strategy Manage relationships with PR agencies and external communications partners. Coordinate media pitching efforts aligned with the brand calendar and promotional initiatives. Lead ongoing outreach for industry awards, trade publications, and brand growth opportunities. Support PR strategy and media execution for new venue openings. Paid Media Manage paid media budgets and allocation strategies Oversee digital marketing strategy across Google, Meta, TikTok, and other advertising platforms. Monitor campaign reporting, performance metrics, and optimization opportunities in partnership with media buying teams. Loyalty Program/CRM Lead strategy and execution for the Bou Crew Rewards program, with a focus on driving guest acquisition, engagement, retention, and lifetime value. Manage the email, SMS, and push notification content calendar to support promotional campaigns, increase guest frequency and spend, and strengthen customer retention. Develop and execute loyaltydriven initiatives including targeted promotions, surpriseanddelight moments, personalized guest journeys, and retention campaigns. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferred). Proven track record of managing a marketing department, preferably in a remote environment. Minimum 5 years of experience in multiunit restaurant marketing or a similar industry. Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns. Strong understanding of digital marketing principles and best practices (SEO, SEM, social media marketing, email marketing). Excellent creative vision and the ability to translate ideas into compelling marketing materials. Experience with content management systems (CMS) and social media scheduling tools. Strong project management and organizational skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced environment.
