About the CompanyLeonard Workforce Solutions is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a growing organization seeking a qualified candidate for the following position.About the RoleManufacturing Manager Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Manufacturing Manager owns the performance of the company's manufacturing departments and is accountable for delivering on quality, schedule, cost, and safety commitments. This is a hands-on leadership role directing Manufacturing Supervisors across multiple production areas in a regulated, ITAR/EAR environment.ResponsibilitiesManufacturing Department Leadership Lead and develop Manufacturing Supervisors as direct reportsPrioritize production schedules and resolve cross-area conflictsSet and attain manufacturing goals tied to quality, delivery, and costEnsure operations run in accordance with company policies and quality system requirementsOversee departmental safety and job readiness effortsEmployee Growth and Training Build and monitor employee growth plansAdminister written and hands-on testingEnsure employees meet classification requirements and approve classification changesContinuous Improvement Lead cycle time and efficiency initiatives using lean manufacturing techniquesDrive root cause analysis using 5 Why, 8D, and Fishbone methodologiesDetermine, implement, and review corrective actionsManpower and Capacity Planning Establish manpower and equipment capacity requirementsApprove hires above operator levelParticipate in annual operational planning QualificationsBachelor of Science degree with 5+ years of related manufacturing experience, OR 7+ years of related experience in lieu of degreeRequired SkillsWorking knowledge of manufacturing operations management and lean manufacturing principlesProficient computer skills, math skills, blueprint reading, and mechanical inspection gauge usage Preferred SkillsExperience in one or more of the following is highly preferred: Custom Mixed Rubber (mixing, extruding, calendaring, refining, inspection/testing; operation of mills, internal mixers, extruders, and Mill Room support equipment)Life Support Hose and Equipment (building, molding, swaging, soldering, inspection/test, packaging/shipping; operation of ovens, steam autoclaves, swage and knitting machines, PHI presses)Rubber and Composite Products (compression/transfer molding, hand lay-up, rubber-to-metal and composite-to-metal bonding, vacuum bag autoclave curing, pressure bag bonding; operation of hydraulic presses, steam and nitrogen autoclaves, degreasing equipment, ovens) Pay range and compensation packageThis position requires access to ITAR and/or EAR controlled technical data, technology, or source code.
