What will you be doing?The Solutions Analyst will collaborate on-site with users to understand their needs and help define requirements and document processes to improve company work-flow, productivity and efficiency while managing the product backlog and prioritizing tasks based on shifting goals. This individual will also be expected to maintain knowledge of business systems and assist in day-to-day operations and the technical needs of the broader organization. The ideal candidate will be open to working with the energy to execute high-level to lower-level tasks, as needed, and be self-motivated.Area(s) of ResponsibilityBased on business requirements, participate in the technical design, testing and end-user training of enhancements for Velocity’s ERP system.Essential FunctionsServe as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and understanding. Build relationships with stakeholders to create scalable solutions.Lead brainstorming sessions and other group meetings to find possible solutions for business problems.Assist in the design of technical solutions to address identified business problems.Collaborate with the development team to ensure that proposed solutions are feasible, effective, and can be properly integrated into existing systems.Create and maintain documentation for the solutions, including design specifications, flow charts, and training materials.Establish, outline, and support testing to ensure the solutions work as intended and meet the specified requirements.Assist in managing product backlog and prioritizationEducation, Experience and KnowledgeEducation:4-year degree in Business or Information Technology related fieldExperience:4+ years of business analysis experience, business process modeling and/or QA testing experienceExperience with JIRA or other Project tracking platformsProficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, VisioSolid understanding of software development cycles and project documentationTraining staff on systems usageExperience with ERP or CRM systemsRequired Skills:Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersKeen analytical skills to guide decision-making while implementing data-driven processes and solutions to reach business goalsOutstanding organization, listening, and attention to detailEffective and excellent communicationDesired Skills:JIRA & ConfluenceUnderstanding of Agile methodologiesBasic understanding of SQL and ability to write simple queriesTraits:Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with a diverse group of team members, SMEs, managers, and executives across the world.Organized, thorough and detail-orientedFast learner, coachable and a team playerAnalytical, inventive, problem solverExcellent time management skillsSelf-motivated and able to work independentlyThis position is based in Austin, TX, USA (required).
