A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus availableOpportunity:/nCT Technologist - CT Tech/n/nJob Details:/n• Coordinate and participate in all computerized tomography scanning procedures/n• Set up, monitor and operate complex computerized equipment for diagnostic purposes/n• Work every other weekend schedule/n• On-call responsibilities possible/n• 2+ years of CT experience required/n• Phillips equipment experience required/n• Travel experience preferred/n• Required certifications: BLS, ARRT/n• Transfer and position patients using accepted safety standards and proper lifting techniques/n• Apply immobilization devices as necessary/n• Obtain vital patient information including known allergies and medical history/n• Prepare and inject contrast media intravenously as needed per radiologist protocol/n• Create and develop images for permanent patient files/n• Record all studies on magnetic tape for future reference/n• Organize daily patient schedules in cooperation with work-room technician/n• Maintain image quality following department guidelines/n• Perform daily calibration and quality control of equipment/n• Handle electronic/digital image capture, storage, transfer, and copying/n• Monitor patients for allergic reactions and provide appropriate medical assistance including basic CPR/n• Provide radiation protection to self and patients according to safety standards/n• Maintain cleanliness of working environment and department supply inventory/n• Assist with training new personnel as needed/n• Support radiologists and physician specialists in specialized procedures/n/nFacility:/nThis healthcare organization operates a comprehensive medical center with advanced diagnostic imaging capabilities.
