Apply via Dice today!OT/Network Engineer - Remote roleRemote with some travel to Wilmington, Delaware12+ month contract with extensions2 interviewsPosition SummaryWe are seeking a highly capable engineer with strong experience in networking, secure remote access technologies, and vulnerability management to support secure operations across enterprise and operational technology (OT) environments. This role focuses on deploying and enabling secure access solutions and vulnerability management capabilities, while partnering with system and network owners to drive secure configuration and remediation.Key ResponsibilitiesNetwork & Infrastructure SecuritySupport secure network architecture by providing guidance to system and network ownersAnalyze network traffic flows, ports, and protocols to inform segmentation and security decisionsIdentify security gaps and recommend improvements aligned to operational constraintsTroubleshoot connectivity issues related to secure access deployments and integrationsRemote Access & Secure ConnectivityInstall and configure secure remote access solutions on management servers and process control network (PCN) systemsEnable and validate secure connectivity models for internal users and third-party vendorsCollaborate with firewall and system owners to inform required rule changes, port usage, and access pathsEnsure remote access solutions are properly authenticated, encrypted, monitored, and loggedSupport rollout of remote access standards across multiple sites with minimal operational disruptionVulnerability ManagementSupport vulnerability assessments across network, server, and OT assetsAnalyze vulnerability findings and aid in remediation or mitigation actionsCoordinate with asset and system owners to implement fixesTrack vulnerabilities through full lifecycle (identify → assess → remediate/mitigate → validate closure)Support development of standardized workflows and reporting for vulnerability managementManage run and maintain activities for asset inventory tool, ensuring collection and data transfer scripts run as expected, with investigation into failures as necessary.Security Engineering & IntegrationDeploy and integrate cybersecurity tools into OT and hybrid environmentsSupport system-level integrations and onboarding of new sites or assetsDevelop and document installation procedures, configuration standards, and operational guidanceCollaboration & Program SupportPartner with site engineers, system owners, and network teams to implement secure solutionsAct as a technical liaison between cybersecurity and operations teamsSupport multiple initiatives simultaneouslyProvide practical, implementation-focused guidance that balances security and uptime requirementsRequired Qualifications5+ years of experience in networking, cybersecurity, or infrastructure engineeringStrong understanding of network protocols, routing, and segmentation conceptsExperience with secure remote access technologiesFamiliarity with vulnerability management and remediation processesExperience working in industrial, manufacturing, or OT environments is preferredAbility to communicate technical requirements clearly to asset ownersKey AttributesStrong collaborator (influence without ownership model)Practical, implementation-focused mindsetAbility to translate security requirements into actionable guidanceComfortable operating across multiple domains
