Frozen Food Supervisor
Position SummaryThe Frozen Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily frozen foods operations to ensure proper stocking, rotation, merchandising, and inventory control. This role leads frozen associates, maintains food safety and temperature standards, and ensures the department meets company expectations for freshness, availability, and presentation.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise daily frozen department operations, including stocking, rotation, and display executionEnsure proper temperature control, product integrity, and food safety compliance at all timesMaintain accurate inventory levels through effective ordering, receiving, and backstock managementEnsure proper FIFO rotation, date checking, and removal of out‑of‑code productsLead and support frozen associates through training, coaching, and task delegationMaintain clean, organized freezers, sales floor, and backroom areasSupport planogram execution, resets, and seasonal transitionsMonitor shrink, damages, and spoilage; take corrective action as neededProvide excellent customer service by assisting with product inquiries and availabilityCommunicate department performance, staffing needs, and issues to store leadershipAssist with department coverage and workload coordination as business needs requireQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredOne or more years of frozen, grocery, or retail experience preferredPrior supervisory or lead experience preferredKnowledge of frozen food handling, rotation, and temperature standardsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and work in freezer environmentsStrong organizational and time‑management skillsAbility to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidaysStrong communication and teamwork skillsCore CompetenciesFrozen food safety and quality controlInventory and shrink managementTeam leadership and accountabilityMerchandising executionOperational efficiencyCustomer service focus
