Drivers Assistant
Job Description SummaryWe are looking for a candidate for Driver's Assistant position. This role will assist the truck drivers with logistics. Ideal candidate will be able to drive the box truck when truck driver is away. Also an assistant must have a clean MVR for last 3 years, valid driver's license, ability to lift over 50 pounds, and ability to drive a box truck as needed.Job DescriptionLoading/ Unloading product from trucksUsing hand trucks to move inventoryInventory SuppliesMay need to drive a Box/ Dump Truck as neededKeeping up a tidy work area including delivery truckEnsure secure load before movementClean and wash the trucks as necessaryReport truck and equipment maintenance issues to the supervisorComply with all DOT safety rules and regulations, all company policies, and local, state, and federal policies, laws, and regulationsLaundry, Waste Management, Facility MaintenanceGrounds KeepingAttention to DetailQualificationsMust have experience loading/unloading trucksHigh school diploma or GEDValid driver's license with clean 3-year MVRMust have the ability to obtain a DOT medical cardKnowledge of Department of Transportation, State, and Federal lawsPhysical RequirementsWork in the outside environment (including inclement weather) on a daily basisLift up to 75 lbsMust be able to lift up to 20lbs on a regular basisWorkaround raw, live animal odorsWork in noisy environment (>85 decibels) and moving equipmentWork nights, weekends, holidays, and long shiftsBenefitsAviagen provides a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the healthcare and financial well-being of our employees.
