Construction Safety Manager

Overview As Safety Manager for Fisk Electric’s California Division, you will lead health and safety programs across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with regulations and client plans. You will drive training, incident investigations, and safety performance, partnering with project teams and the Corporate Safety Director. Your work supports safe execution of electrical projects and minimizes risks on busy construction sites. ResponsibilitiesOnboard and orient new employees with safety programsCreate and maintain training certifications and electronic credential filesMonitor safety performance across jobsites and initiate corrective actionsConduct workplace safety audits and toolbox talks; lead stand-downs as neededProcure and manage safety PPE and equipment stockManage electrical PPE program per policy and best practicesEnsure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulationsAssist PMs/Supers with site-specific safety plansReview accident procedures and apply reporting policiesCoordinate injury case management with Corporate Safety DirectorSupport return-to-work programLead incident investigations and submit reportsFacilitate drug testing when requiredMaintain OSHA 300 logs and formsDeliver in-person safety training on topics including confined spaces, electrical safety, lock-out/tag-out, etc.Collaborate with other department managersMonitor fleet driving performance and report to GMSupport background checks as neededParticipate in monthly safety performance meetingsEnsure up-to-date employment postersAttend industry conferences for safety knowledgeReview and develop Method of Procedures (MOP) for task safetyCreate SOPs aligned with company policiesPrepare and review safety meeting minutesMaintain SDS and Hazardous Communication ProgramEnforce EHS policies including Injury & Illness Prevention PlanAttend to regulatory and client requirementsKeep exposure to hazards and mitigations under review Key requirements10 years of progressive construction safety experience with emphasis on electrical safetyOSHA-500 certificationCHST certification preferred or equivalentKnowledge of NFPA-70E and electrical safety conceptsCEST/CESW/CESCP certifications preferredStrong reading of electrical drawings and safety mitigation applicationsFamiliarity with safety regulations and first aid/CPR certificationExcellent verbal and written communicationStrong project, time, and organizational skillsAbility to juggle multiple tasks and solve safety problemsMust meet company vehicle driving standards and client background requirementsExtensive in-person safety training and mentoring experience in electrical and related topicsAbility to work with cross-functional teamsMust be able to conduct background checks when requiredstrong communicationproblem-solvingleadershipNFPA-70EOSHA-500Electrical safety procedures
