Senior Operations Manager – Aerospace Manufacturing | Precision MachiningWe're seeking a high-impact Senior Operations Manager to lead a complex, high-mix, high-volume machining operation. This is a leadership role for someone who understands the realities of a machine shop environment and can translate that into execution, accountability, and measurable results.This position is built for a strong operator—someone who can step in, bring structure, optimize performance, and elevate the team while driving the business forward.What You'll OwnFull ownership of day-to-day operations across a precision machining environmentLeadership and development of supervisors, leads, and machinists to drive performance and accountabilityOversight of multiple concurrent production workflows, ensuring on-time delivery and quality standardsEstablishing and refining production systems, KPIs, and reporting structures to improve visibility and decision-makingDriving continuous improvement initiatives across throughput, efficiency, and cost optimizationPartnering cross-functionally with engineering, programming, and quality to resolve complex production challengesBuilding scalable processes that support growth and operational maturityWhat You Bring5–10+ years of experience in machining/manufacturing operations, with clear progression into leadership rolesStrong understanding of machine shop dynamics (CNC machining, scheduling, tooling, workflow constraints)Proven ability to lead teams, develop people, and drive accountability at multiple levelsStrong Excel and data analysis skills (pivot tables, reporting, operational dashboards) to support data-driven decisionsExperience managing high-mix, low-volume production environmentsDemonstrated track record of improving throughput, reducing bottlenecks, and delivering resultsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related technical field preferredWhat Sets This Role ApartThis is not a maintenance role—it's a build-and-improve opportunity.
