Job Description: Job Description Performs all assigned activities and job tasks within a line or area. Collaborates with Quality and Food Safety to complete all QFS sampling tasks including indicator swabbing of Zone 1 surfaces after a cleaning has been performed, or after changeover from one product to another (if no weekly downtime is scheduled for cleaning activities). Keeps detailed logs and is able to maintain accurate records of sample collection, recording in MRS system, and Sample Analysis Request Form for sample submission Uses SAP to allocate swabs accurately, Understands the principles of the product retention library, and the maintenance of the inventory rotation. Understands production schedules, production computer systems, work instructions. This position will work Monday through Friday 10:30pm to 7:00am and overtime on Saturday/ Sunday as business requires. KEY Responsibilities Performs indicator swabbing of Zone 1 and 2 surfaces and environmental swabs. Performs escalated swabbing and sampling requests. Collects environmental, in-process, chocolate monitoring and finished good samples then prepares for shipment to external laboratory. Enters sample information into Micro Release System to ensure timely release of materials. Maintains inventory of all swabs, coolers, and other necessary sampling material Performs on-call cleaning line inspections and sample collection. Performs GMP Audits and Sanitation Walks. Must be able to work independently after the training period. Education & Professional Qualifications: High School diploma, GED or equivalent education. Standing on a concrete floor and walking up stairs. Computer savvy. Wearing proper personal protective equipment (hair net, bump cap, ear plugs, safety shoes, and uniform). Bending, stooping, twist, turn, standing for extended time periods, reaching, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Knowledge/Experience General knowledge of Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) At least two years of manufacturing experience. Knowledge or experience in aseptic procedures. Ability to work independently as well as in a group setting. Able to operate a computer and utilize the basic standard desktop systems including SAP and Microsoft Office.
