Champion Safety Excellence.Pay: $85,000 – $100,000 per yearPosition Type: Full-Time, ExemptLocation: Greeley, Colorado (Field-Based)Travel: Primarily local (Colorado Front Range); limited out-of-state (~5%)Reports To: CO Field Safety ManagerThe RoleThe H&S Field Specialist supports the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Tasman’s Health and Safety Program (HSP) across the Colorado Division. This role serves as a subject matter expert to field crews and operations leadership, providing hands-on guidance and practical application of health and safety policies in active field environments.With approximately 90% field-based work, this position plays a vital role in hazard identification, compliance assurance, and promoting a proactive safety culture across Colorado operations.What You’ll Be DoingField Safety & Program ExecutionContribute to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Tasman’s Health and Safety Program (HSP) aligned with Colorado operationsAdvise field leadership and project managers on safety compliance, hazard mitigation strategies, and best practicesConduct daily project safety inspections, identify hazards, document findings, and verify corrective actionsReinforce safety expectations as part of daily field operationsOversight, Risk Management & Incident ResponseIdentify opportunities for process improvement and enhanced field-level safety engagementAssist with communicating regulatory changes and required updates to safety proceduresRespond to, document, and assist with investigations of incidents, near-misses, and stop-work eventsTrack corrective actions to closureSafety Communication & CultureSupport development and delivery of safety communications, including toolbox talks and safety breaksPromote a proactive, engaged safety culture across all field operationsEquipment & CoordinationInspect and maintain safety equipment, including fire extinguishers, first aid kits, gas monitors, and related gearCoordinate with the Corporate Health & Safety Officer (CHSO) and Colorado Health & Safety Manager on regional safety initiativesPerform other duties as assigned to support health and safety objectivesRequiredWhat You BringMinimum of 5 years of experience in construction, oil & gas, or field-based operationsOSHA 10-hour certification (General Industry or Construction)PEC Veriforce Basic Orientation (SafeLand USA or earlier versions)H2S certificationFirst Aid / CPR / AED certificationWorking knowledge of environmental field work and excavation operationsProficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteValid driver’s license and authorization to work in the United StatesPreferredOSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour certificationOSHA 30-hour or higher-level safety certificationOSHA Competent Person – Trenching & ExcavationOil & Gas client-specific certifications (e.g., Chevron, Civitas, Phillips 66, Oxy)Experience operating or inspecting heavy equipment (skid steer, excavator, loader)Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related fieldProfessional working proficiency or fluency in SpanishStrong safety leadership and field engagement skillsAbility to assess regulatory compliance and field riskStrong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skillsAbility to exercise independent judgment in dynamic environmentsWork EnvironmentThis role is primarily field-based, with limited office time in Greeley and/or Wheat Ridge.Field ConditionsExposure to varying weather conditionsActive construction, excavation, and environmental job sitesNoise, environmental contaminants, and physical hazardsRoutine use of PPE and adherence to safety protocolsPhysical RequirementsStand, walk, sit, reach, and use hands to handle tools and equipmentOccasionally lift up to 25 poundsParticipation in pre-employment and random drug and background screeningScheduleFull-timeMonday – Friday, day-shift hoursStart and end times may vary based on project requirementsWork AuthorizationMust be authorized to work in the United StatesMust possess a valid driver’s licenseBenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company match (up to 4%)Health Savings Account (HSA) & Flexible Spending Account (FSA)Paid time off (PTO) & Paid sick timeCompany-sponsored paid holidaysTuition reimbursementSafety equipment providedEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Why Join Tasman?About TasmanAt Tasman Inc, safety is foundational to everything we do.
