This role is ideal for an optometrist who values clinical excellence, teamwork, and long-term patient relationships.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform comprehensive eye examinationsDiagnose and manage ocular diseases, including:GlaucomaDiabetic retinopathyMacular degenerationDry eye diseaseProvide pre- and post-operative care in collaboration with ophthalmologyPrescribe glasses, contact lenses, and therapeutic treatmentsAccurately document care in the electronic medical recordEducate patients on diagnoses, treatment options, and long-term eye healthCollaborate closely with technicians, optical staff, and physicians to ensure high-quality patient careQualificationsDoctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited optometry schoolLicensed or board-eligible in the state of MichiganStrong clinical and diagnostic skillsExcellent communication and patient care skillsInterest in medical optometry and surgical co-managementPrior medical or clinical experience preferred but not required
