Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on systems and equipment, including HVAC filter changes, lubrication, belt replacement, and equipment checks. Respond promptly to residents and staff requests, including lockouts and basic assistance. Assist with inspections and testing of fire alarm systems, fire extinguishers, and other life-safety equipment. Support infection control procedures within maintenance tasks. Adjust doors, locks, closers, thermostats, blinds, and other facility fixtures as needed. Repair/replacement of windows, screens, weather stripping, and door hardware. Assist with carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC projects under direction of skilled staff. Support set-up and tear-down for events (tables, chairs, equipment). Maintain clean and safe work areas, passageways, and storage areas. Provide basic pest control (bait stations, traps). Participate in fire drills, severe weather response, and other safety/security inspections. Keep accurate records of preventive maintenance and equipment inspections. Demonstrate ability to work with necessary tools and equipment. Perform other duties as required by the Maintenance Supervisor or Director.What We’re Looking For High school diploma or equivalent. At least one year of experience in maintenance, building operations, or plant services preferred. Technical training in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, or carpentry preferred. Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions. Skill in the care and use of tools and equipment. Required to participate in a weekend and on-call rotation Must be available for emergency calls and work some holidays Must have a valid driver’s license and motor vehicle record meeting insurance carrier standards.
