Channel Account Executive

Job OverviewSkillsoft Global Knowledge is seeking an experienced Channel Account Executive who will recruit, onboard, and enable Channel Partners including Strategic Alliances, Resellers, Distributors, and Global System Integrators. In this role you will build and nurture relationships, attract new business partners, and create new go-to-market programs to grow the Skillsoft Global Knowledge portfolio of training products and services.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesCreating new programs and revenue opportunities for Skillsoft Global Knowledge and channel partners by selling core IT training and business skill solutionsPrioritizing activities to ensure optimum penetration and profitability, including developing strategic partner plans and executive sponsorshipsDeveloping and maintaining key decision-maker relationships within the channel partner and strategic alliance accountsWorking closely with the Regional Vice President of Sales, Account Executives, and Customer Success Managers to target and drive new business opportunities and win dealsUnderstanding and uncovering strategic and critical needs within our partner strategy and product positioning that require market, channel or customer educationDeveloping strong relationships within business units of partners and vendors to understand new product development roadmaps and potential opportunities to leverage training internally and in partnership salesAttending trade shows and strategic events to grow partner and customer awareness and sales growthManaging partner contract terms and conditions and ensuring compliancePreparing written proposals and delivering oral presentations to partners and other stakeholdersSetting and executing channel account strategy, providing intel on partner pain points, investments, and competitive landscapeStepping back from day-to-day activities to view the business from different perspectives and develop new approachesBringing discipline, focus and accountability around key performance indicatorsCollaborating with Skillsoft Global Knowledge teammates to assist in new partner onboarding including marketing, sales, support, operations and legalBuilding Partner Loyalty: Effectively meeting partner needs; using newly gained knowledge and skill on the job and learning through their applicationSkills & Experience Required5+ years of experience selling to Channel Partners in an outbound sales role with Post-secondary education or equivalentAbility to build and maintain client and partner relationships with robust channel and/or partner management experience, ideally having also worked in direct salesProficient in software skills in Salesforce, MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, as well as AI tools like Microsoft CoPilotKnowledge of corporate education and training marketFamiliarity with leading and emerging technology solutionsProven track record identifying, developing and growing channel sales within a high-tech sectorExperience and demonstrated ability to close professional services solutionsSuccessful execution of a well-defined partner strategy for a technology companyExcellent communication and polished and effective public speaking and presentation skillsProfessional business writing skills (reports, letters, emails, proposals)Working across a global matrix organization is a plusCore CompetenciesHigh level of energy, self-motivated and goal orientedAbility to prioritize and focus on high-yield sales resultsKnowledge of channel partner business strategiesExperience with consultative, solution selling processesHunter mentality with excellent business development skills and handling objectionsCompensation and BenefitsTarget base salary range for this role is approximately $125,000–$135,000 annualized with average on target earnings including commissions of approximately $250,000–$270,000 annualized.We also offer enterprise benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and paid time off.Equal Opportunity EmployerSkillsoft is an equal opportunity employer.
