Maintenance Person (3p-11p)

You'll conduct regular inspections and routine maintenance and come up with ideas for preventative measures we can use to maximize the life of our equipment and minimize safety risks. Apply today!Responsibilities:Manage other maintenance requests as requiredConduct routine maintenance on equipment and systems such as HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, and electrical wiring to make sure they're operating efficiently and make any needed repairsMake records of when any equipment was services and repairs were madeExamine building windows, walls, and doors for damage and perform repairs when neededPlan and implement preventative maintenance procedures to maximize equipment operations and minimize safety risksMay perform general carpentry, tiling, painting, and wall surface repairs (experience is helpful but not required)Completes maintenance request formsCleans and maintains the lobby and other public areas to ensure a safe and clean experience for hotel guests, associates, and vendorsVacuums and/or sweeps all floor surfacesComplete and document pool readings (will train)Transports guests to and from the airport and other locations as requested, while demonstrating all common courtesies and obeying driving and traffic laws (valid, clean driver's license/record)Responds in a timely, courteous manner to guests' questions, complaints, or requestsMaintain guests' privacyProperly maintains tools, workspaces, and equipmentMaintain a high level of professional appearance and demeanorPerforms other duties as assigned, responds on a radio/on-call basisQualifications:Must have graduated from high school/received GED or equivalentAt least 2 years of maintenance experienceNeeds to have availability to respond on nights and weekends to on-call maintenance requestsShould be able to demonstrate understanding of heating and air conditioning units, plumbing systems, and electrical systemsMust be able to demonstrate advanced understanding of maintenance equipment, techniques and proceduresProblem-Solving SkillsInterpersonal Skills (Connecting with Guests on a comfortable, personal level)Technical and Computer SkillsKnowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry is helpful but not requiredExperienced with general maintenance toolsAbility to lift up to 50 lbsMulti-tasking/Working under pressure in a fast-paced environmentCaring and compassionate attitudeKnowledge of the surrounding area and eventsAbility to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidaysReliability and punctualityAbout Company:Best Western Plus Grant Creek Inn is a family-friendly hotel located in Missoula, Montana.
