Responsibilities Deliver high-quality classroom instruction on electrical principles, systems, and safety protocols, including OSHA standards. Develop, update, and refine curriculum materials to ensure relevance and alignment with industry best practices. Train students on the use of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), blackboard systems for instructional management, and other technical tools. Provide hands-on training in maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO), HVAC/R systems, automotive diagnostics, plumbing, welding, hydraulics, and mechanical knowledge. Assess student progress through evaluations, practical demonstrations, and feedback sessions; maintain accurate records of attendance and performance. Foster a positive learning environment that encourages adult education principles and accommodates diverse learning styles. Ensure compliance with safety standards such as OSHA regulations during all instructional activities. Skills Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and experience in electrical maintenance or repair roles. Strong classroom training skills with the ability to engage adult learners effectively. Technical proficiency in operating and troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HVAC/R systems, automotive diagnostics, plumbing, welding equipment, and mechanical tools. Familiarity with curriculum development tailored for technical education programs. Construction experience or aircraft maintenance background is highly desirable. Practical understanding of hydraulics, HVAC systems (including air conditioning), electrical experience across various industries, and MRO practices. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and confidently to students of varying skill levels.
