People and Culture Intern

The People & Culture Intern will support the People & Culture team in delivering key P&C initiatives and day-to-day operations. This role offers hands-on experience in various P&C functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, total rewards, wellness, and P&C administration. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn about P&C practices in a dynamic environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with recruitment activities, including posting job ads, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.Prepare and coordinate onboarding processes, new hire documentation, and orientation sessions.Provide support for talent management programs, projects, and initiatives, including task coordination, scheduling, and event logistics.Help maintain HRIS databases and employee records, completing audits to ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.Participate and assist in employee engagement initiatives, including surveys, events, and recognition programs.Assist with P&C reporting and analytics, compiling data and supporting metrics, dashboards, and insights.Support Total Rewards activities, including assisting with benefits administration and audits, compensation documentation, and preparing materials for rewards-related communications.Provide general administrative support to the P&C team, including calendar coordination, document preparation, meeting logistics, policy updates, and filing.Participate and contribute to Wellness + Wellbeing meetings, initiatives, and activities.Identify opportunities for process efficiency and automation while working within systems and workflows; recommend improvements as appropriate.Review the People & Culture calendar on a regular basis to flag upcoming deliverables and assist with organizing work across projects and initiatives.Research and analyze HR trends, engagement strategies, and talent best practices to ensure initiatives create meaningful changes in engagement and satisfaction approaches.Contribute to special projects related to People & Culture policies, diversity, equity, inclusion & belonging (DEIB), and continuous process improvement.QualificationsCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills, with attention to detail.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); comfortable learning new systems and tools.Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment.Demonstrated interest in People & Culture, including talent, engagement, development, rewards practices, and trends.Preferred SkillsFamiliarity with HRIS/HCM systems or applicant tracking systems (ATS).Experience with data analysis or reporting tools.Benefits of InternshipHands-on experience in multiple P&C functions.Exposure to P&C strategy and organizational culture initiatives.Mentorship and professional development opportunities.Learning ObjectivesGain an understanding of the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, and interview coordination.Build practical experience with onboarding processes, including documentation, compliance requirements, and new-hire preparation.Develop skills in maintaining People & Culture records, with a strong emphasis on data accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism.Learn how employee engagement initiatives-such as surveys, events, and recognitions support organizational culture and connections.Acquire foundational knowledge of People & Culture reporting and analytics, including how data supports decision-making and business insights.Strengthen communication, organization, and collaboration skills through hands-on interaction with multiple stakeholders across the organization.Internship DetailsDuration: 6 months (with possibility of extension)Hourly rate: $20 - $25 per hourWork Schedule: 20-24 hours per week, flexible timing.The specific statements shown in each section of this description are not intended to be all-inclusive.
