ELECTRICAL ENGINEER (Manufacturing)

Job Description ELECTRICAL ENGINEER (Manufacturing) MONTGOMERY, AL MUST HAVE: BS Degree in Electrical Engineering & Five years manufacturing experience. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Design, develop, program and troubleshoot control systems for high-volume extrusion manufacturing equipment. * Working knowledge of the 2023 National Electrical Code (NFPA70). * Ability to specify, install, program and troubleshoot ControlLogix programmable logic controllers, PanelView Plus HMIs and Rockwell Kinetix motion control systems. * Ability to specify, install, and program Mitsubishi Q-series programmable logic controllers, servo systems and Proface HMIs * Schedule electrical engineering and maintenance services needed for low-voltage and medium voltage power distribution system maintenance including switchgear cleaning and testing and arc-flash and coordination studies. * Support maintenance personnel in the mechanical and electrical troubleshooting of production equipment. * Broad responsibility with clients, manufacturers, and production personnel. * Assist with identifying and installing new equipment and facilities for expansion, efficiency, and recovery improvements. * Coordinate with utility companies and contractors during facilities changes and electrical distribution system preventative maintenance * Manage electrical and mechanical contractors during the installation and modification of production equipment. * Develop and maintain logic and software documentation for all production equipment and processes. * Help maintain high standard of safety and quality. SPECIALIZED SKILLS: Advanced knowledge of production equipment. Good communication skills. Computer literacy. PLC and computer programming. National Electrical Code. CAD Operation. Logic and wiring diagrams.
