Behavioral Health Program Coordinator - Temporary

If selected, onboarding will be completed through a staffing agency.****On-Site**About us Kern Health Systems is dedicated to improving the health status of our members through an integrated managed health care delivery. About the role This position reports to the Behavioral Health (BH) Supervisor this position provides support to the Behavioral Health Program by performing a variety of administrative support functions including clerical and outreach and engagement to our eligible and enrolled BH members, BH Provider sites, and our community partner agencies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assign, process, and track referrals received via provider portal, email, and fax in a timely manner, ensuring accurate documentation and coordination between Behavioral Health (BH), other departments, and network providersMaintain referral tracking systems, including Transitions of Care (TOC) tools and BH grievances, ensuring proper assignment, follow-up, and documentationPerform data entry in JIVA and QNXT systems, including uploading approved documents in accordance with departmental workflows and maintaining data accuracyConduct outreach and follow-up with providers and members for appointment scheduling, monitoring attendance, and notifying appropriate BH staff of missed appointmentsProvide customer service support to members, including sharing resources and responding to inquiries in a timely and professional mannerPrepare, process, and distribute member and provider correspondence (e.g., appointment letters, care plans, education, and resources), including packaging and mailingManage and process returned mail related to member communications and ensure proper documentationEnsure Outcome Reports are prepared and distributed in compliance with CLR requirementsSupport provider network adequacy efforts, including maintaining provider capacity reports and conducting outreach to verify services and availabilityCoordinate departmental meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas and materials, sending invitations, arranging logistics (e.g., meals, location), attending meetings, and distributing meeting minutesPrepare scheduled and ad hoc reports, and assist with data validation, testing, and implementation of new processes or projectsOrganize and maintain departmental files, records, and marketing materials inventoryAssist with administrative and operational tasks, including ordering and tracking gift cards, office supplies, mileage reimbursements, and processing invoices in SAGEMonitor and manage incoming and outgoing faxes, ensuring successful transmission, confirming receipt, and documenting appropriatelyOperate standard office equipment, including copiers, scanners, fax machines, and multi-line telephone systemsDemonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer systemsDemonstrate proficient skill with management of basic spreadsheets including use of Excel, and data entryCollaborate effectively within a team environment and support cross-functional coordinationComplete patient satisfaction calls as directed by managementAssist management and team members with special projects and assignments as neededAdhere to all company policies and proceduresMaintain regular and predictable attendancePerform other job-related duties as requiredEmployment Standards: Education: Associate’s degree from an accredited school or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.Experience: Two (2) or more years of recent experience in the behavioral health or related healthcare field with a high degree of problem solving and decision making. Strong telephone and communication skills required. Preferred experience in a patient centered medical home. Certifications: Typing Certificate required.Pay Rate: 26.00/hr
