Soni is partnering with a well-known organization seeking a Controller to lead day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing compliance with grant regulations and accounting standards, and supporting leadership with financial insights across a complex funding environment.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee full-cycle accounting including general ledger, cash, A/P, A/R, and fixed assetsManage monthly and annual close, reconciliations, and financial reportingEnsure compliance with GAAP, federal and state grant regulations, and internal controlsLead accounting oversight for government-funded programs, including cost allocation and grant reportingSupport audits, including financial statement audits and single audit requirementsPrepare financial schedules, grant documentation, and regulatory filingsPartner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysisImprove accounting processes, systems, and reporting capabilitiesQualificationsStrong accounting leadership experience, ideally within a nonprofit or grant-funded environmentKnowledge of federal and state grant compliance and reportingExperience supporting audits and financial reporting processesAbility to analyze financial data and communicate insights to leadershipBackground in improving financial systems and internal controlsCompensation: $115,000 - $125,000
