Secondary responsibilities include helpdesk support, case management, resolution and tracking. Additional responsibilities include user, hardware and software provisioning, refresh and management.Essential Duties & Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned:Maintaining and creating systems within a VMware vSphere virtual infrastructure.Monitoring and supporting critical network services (e.g. DNS, DHCP and Email) Maintaining and monitoring the connectivity to MPLS sites & off-site networks, including the Internet Maintaining and coordinating the security of the company computer network Automating system administration tasks using various scripts, macros, and programming languagesResearching, recommending and provisioning equipment and software solutions for business needsUser Account Management, role based authentication for systemsAuditing/analyzing system logs and identifying potential issues with computer systemsPerforming backups and restoresInstalling and configuring new hardware and softwareResponsibility for documenting the configuration of systemsTroubleshooting any reported problems & system performance tuningResponsible for basic administration of various SaaS cloud-based solutions; (GoogleApps/ZenDesk)Answering technical queries and end user helpdesk supportQualifications & Experience (Required):VMWare vSphere Experience5-8 years System Administration experience in a 200+ user environmentMicrosoft Active Directory Experience (user management, GPOs, etc.)Cisco TCP/IP Networking experienceStrong interpersonal, communication and documentation skillsWillingness to work evenings and weekends as requiredQualifications (Preferred):Degree in IT, IT Systems, Computer Science, Systems or related fieldExperience with Veeam storage and backup solutionsWindows logon/logoff automation experienceSimple programming using Powershell/PowerCLI or equivalent scripting languageProfessional certifications (VMware VCP, Cisco CCNA, EMC, CompTIA, etc.)Mac operating system experience a plusIf you have these skills and experience, we encourage you to apply!
