Web Application Developer
Job Description:
Thrive Web Designs is seeking a Web Application Developer to help design, develop, maintain, and improve modern websites and web-based applications. The ideal candidate has experience building responsive user interfaces, developing server-side functionality, integrating databases, and delivering reliable digital solutions that meet client needs.
This role involves collaborating with designers and other team members to transform project requirements into functional, secure, and user-friendly web applications.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications and website features.
- Build responsive interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related technologies.
- Develop server-side functionality using PHP and suitable frameworks.
- Create and maintain database structures, queries, and integrations.
- Integrate APIs, third-party services, and e-commerce functionality.
- Identify and resolve bugs, performance issues, and compatibility problems.
- Improve website speed, accessibility, security, and overall usability.
- Maintain existing applications and implement requested enhancements.
- Collaborate with designers and project stakeholders to deliver project requirements.
- Document development processes and follow coding best practices.
Required Skills:
- Experience with web application or full-stack development.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive web design.
- Knowledge of PHP, WordPress, or comparable server-side technologies.
- Familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL or SQL Server.
- Understanding of REST APIs, application security, and debugging techniques.
- Ability to write maintainable code and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Laravel or another PHP framework.
- Familiarity with Git or other version-control systems.
- Knowledge of e-commerce integrations and database-driven applications.
- Understanding of website performance optimization and accessibility standards.
- A portfolio demonstrating completed websites or web applications.
