Registered Respiratory Therapist Location: Johnson City, NY Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,345 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/13/2026 About the Position Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory Therapist Specialty: - Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in critical care, NICU, and experience with V60 BiPAP/980 ventilators License: State Respiratory Therapy Permit or License Certifications: Registered by the NBRC as a Respiratory Therapist, BLS and ACLS Certification from American Heart Association Must-Have: - Attention to detail - Collaboration skills - Verbal and written communication skills - Critical thinking and judgment abilities - Time management and organizational skills - Problem-solving ability - Commitment to quality and reliability - Safety and risk management skills - Technical expertise Description: To ensure that respiratory therapy services rendered are completed in a timely, accurate, and reliable manner. Those served include inpatients, outpatients, staff, and community groups as needed. Administers respiratory therapy procedures as directed. Performs aerosol therapy treatments. Conducts secretion mobilization therapy. Provides incentive spirometry therapy. Administers metered-dose inhaler therapy. Performs suctioning procedures. Carries out extubation procedures. Responsible for oxygen tank safety. Delivers oxygen therapy using approved devices. Manages BiPAP-CPAP therapy and alarms. Performs cough assist and vest therapy. Manages high-flow cannula and humidifier therapy along with alarms. Conducts pulmonary function screen diagnostic procedures. Performs fit testing procedures in coordination with relevant departments. Measures and records pulse oximetry. Performs adult and pediatric EKG procedures. Administers adult, pediatric, and neonatal basic life support. Manages mechanical ventilation and associated alarms. Conducts arterial puncture and analysis for blood gas laboratory. Ensures quality control for the blood gas laboratory. Manages patient healthcare information systems. Oversees medication administration and dispensing systems. Verifies physician's orders related to diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Records and reports the results of all procedures appropriately. Performs basic life support when necessary after certification. Abides by departmental delivery standards. Maintains files and bookkeeping records as per department policy.
