Key Responsibilities: Perform urgent cardiothoracic surgeries from cath lab to postoperative care for adult patients (18+).Support staff with assisting in complex procedures, including backup surgical support after consultations.Manage patient care comprehensively, including rounding with 2-4 hours of callback per day.Utilize the EPIC EMR system for documentation and coordination of care.Participate in a 24-hour call schedule during weekends, with coverage three weekends per month.Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Required Skills and Qualifications: Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Cardiac Surgery.PA state medical license and DEA registration.Minimum of 1 year experience in cardiac or cardiothoracic surgery.Strong clinical judgment and ability to work effectively in urgent care settings.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Nice to Have Skills: Experience with advanced cardiac procedures excluding TAVR.Familiarity with EPIC EMR system.Prior experience in hospital-based surgical environments.Preferred Education and Experience: MD or DO degree with fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery.At least one year of post-residency clinical experience in cardiothoracic surgery.Other Requirements: Active PA medical license and DEA registration.Willingness to work a 3x24-hour shift schedule, including weekends.Credentialing expected within 90 days; temporary privileges available for qualified candidates.Travel, licensure, certification, and related reimbursements provided when applicable.This exceptional opportunity offers an hourly pay rate of $3,695.25, along with weekly pay via direct deposit, comprehensive medical benefits, and a robust referral bonus program.
