We are seeking an experienced tax leader who can integrate into the firm and grow into a future partner within five to six years.About the RoleThe Senior Tax Manager will serve as a technical and client-facing leader, overseeing complex tax planning and compliance engagements for UHNW clients and their related entities. The role includes collaboration with our in-house legal team on certain client matters involving estates, trusts, and generational planning.ResponsibilitiesHigh-Net-Worth & UHNW Client EngagementsLead sophisticated individual, trust, estate, and flow-through entity tax engagementsDevelop and implement strategic tax planning strategies for UHNW clients and family groupsReview complex compliance across individual, partnership, S-Corp, C-Corp, and fiduciary returnsClient Advisory & RepresentationCommunicate technical concepts to sophisticated clients in a practical mannerRepresent clients before federal and state taxing authorities during audits and inquiriesLeadership & Practice ManagementMentor and develop junior and mid-level staff; provide technical guidance and workflow oversightManage engagement budgets, billings, WIP, and accounts receivableStrengthen client relationships and contribute to practice growth initiativesQualificationsEducation & CredentialsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance requiredMaster of Taxation (MST) strongly preferredActive CPA license or JD requiredExperience12+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting at the Senior Manager or Director levelDemonstrated experience with UHNW/estate/flow-through engagementsPrior supervisory experience requiredTechnical FitStrong command of federal and multi-state taxation for individuals and flow-through entitiesProficiency with platforms such as CCH Axcess or ProSystem fxNo audit and no international tax work — our practice is exclusively tax-focusedPay range and compensation packageBase salary for this role can range from $175,000 to $220,000, depending on experience, technical depth, and long-term partnership fit. In addition to base and performance bonus, the firm provides a 10% annual retirement contribution through a combined 401(k) and SEP plan, with no employee contribution required, which materially enhances total compensation and is uncommon in the market. This position is being recruited with a clear and realistic path to partnership within five to six years. Partnership here is similar to joining a close-knit professional club: office presence, building trust with partners and staff, and demonstrating leadership over time are essential components of the progression.
