Assistant Professor / Associate Professor - Clinical, Infectious Diseases
Incumbent will participate in teaching medical students, residents and fellows; deliver clinical service; and participate in our research programs.The section offers a diverse patient population for clinical and translational research projects within LSU and with partnering institutions. Our faculty have funded research in the areas of new HIV therapeutics, malignancies associated with HIV, molecular diagnostics and therapeutic interventions in sexually transmitted infections. Moreover, we have collaborative projects with the NIH-funded Alcohol Research Center focusing on the intersection between HIV, alcohol, and substance use.
