Microsoft Fabric Data Engineering LeadLocation : REMOTE or Chicago, ILMicrosoft Fabric Data Engineering LeadRole SummaryThe Microsoft Fabric Data Engineering Lead will be responsible for building, migrating, and operating scalable data pipelines on the Microsoft Fabric platform. This role focuses on hands on engineering execution ingestion, transformation, data quality, and performance while aligning closely with the Fabric Architect s target design.Key Responsibilities" Design and develop data ingestion pipelines using Fabric Data Factory, Pipelines, and Notebooks." Implement Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers aligned to the defined medallion architecture." Migrate and modernize legacy data pipelines from KEED to Fabric with validation and reconciliation." Build transformation logic to support enterprise reporting and analytics use cases." Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and error handling to support reliable operations." Collaborate with BI teams to ensure data structures support Power BI semantic models and reporting needs." Support operational readiness, deployment, and ongoing data platform support activities.Required Skills & Experience" 8 12+ years of experience in data engineering and analytics platforms." Hands on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse, Data Factory, Pipelines, and Notebooks." Strong SQL and data transformation skills; experience working with large, complex datasets." Experience migrating data from legacy platforms to modern data architectures."
