Simultaneously, our mission is to promote knowledge and understanding of the field of creative arts therapies to the communities which we serve.OverviewSummary:The music therapist in this position will provide individual, dyad, and group music therapy, while participating in interdisciplinary treatment planning by developing a music therapy treatment plan and collaborating with students' treatment teams. Group/individual supervision, clinical observation, professional development, and responsibilities held in conjunction with special events and agency-wide processes are integrated within the position.ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following, other duties as assignedObserves, assesses, and places students in appropriate delivery of serviceProvides individual, dyad, and group music therapyDevelops expressive therapy treatment plansDocuments in students' files according to requirements of regulatory agenciesCollaborates with treatment team as necessary via email, meetings, consultationParticipates in interdisciplinary treatment planningProvides in-service training to team members as appropriate, and in conjunction with expressive therapy team and/or clinical teamsActively participates in supervision for the music therapistMaintains licensure according to state and federal regulationsQualificationsRequirements:Bachelors and/or Master's degree in Music Therapy from AMTA approved programLicense or license eligible:Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) and/or Master of Music Therapy (MMT) and/or Master of Arts in Music Therapy (M.A.)* Strong clinical musicianship, strengths-based theoretical framework* Communicates effectively with other professionals/students/familiesEmail Lindsay Rossmiller with questions lindsay.rossmiller@sesischools.comFor consideration, please apply here: SESI Music Therapy PositionsPosted Salary RangeStarting from USD $30.00/Hr.
