Providing a safe environment, quality workmanship, and exceptional value to our customers is the foremost focus of our operations.We have an immediate opening for a General Foreman (Restoration) in our Iowa Operations. The General Foreman position is responsible for supervision of his/her reports daily to complete the scheduled work in a timely, safe, and Q3 Contracting manner. This position must be able to lead and take responsibility for the successful completion of field operations of the crew, ensuring that all work is performed skillfully and efficiently, and that work progresses on schedule, and within budget.We are actively hiring a General Foreman who will be responsible for planning, communicating and coordinating Utility Restoration projects with customers, subcontractors and internal departments as well as supporting existing restoration crews and projects. Primary responsibilities include:Plan and collaborate within the traffic and restoration departments, and subcontractors as necessary to ensure the timely, efficient completion of work.Meet with and communicate with customers.Resolve issues that arise and escalate to Area Manager as appropriate.Plan and coordinate the field labor force daily, to complete the scheduled work in a safe, quality and timely manner without supervision, creating a results-driven environment.Leads and accepts responsibility for the successful completion of field operations related to hard and soft surface restoration in Iowa with an emphasis on quality and safety.Educating & certifying the adherence of Q3C policies & Customer Standards among the Field Crews.Focus on crew project management, working to reduce crew inefficiencies.Involvement required in new employee onboarding & placement within the assigned area.Coaching and instructing existing employees into crew leadership roles.Compliance in the field with existing staff.Lead by example & professionally conduct themselves to the Public and Customers while representing Q3C in a Leadership Role.Other duties as assigned.Position requirements include:5+ years experience in Utility restoration or relevant industry.Hard and soft restoration experiencePrevious management experience is preferred but not requiredStrong leadership skills with a proven track record of team development and employee mentoring capabilities is preferredHighly organized with good project management skills.Attention to detail and understanding of utility restoration processes.General computer knowledge and the use of Microsoft programs.Must possess good written and verbal communication skills, employee and customer relationships skills and the ability to coordinate several tasks at once and work under strict deadlines, while ensuring safety, customer standards and compliance policies are followed.As needed travel to provide effective oversight of areas of responsibilityQ3 Contracting is a drug-free environment, and all candidates are subject to drug testing.Benefits include:Highly competitive, union wages paid weekly.Outstanding, paid-on-the-job training.Union benefits offerings (Determined by trade and location)Award winning safety programs.Overtime opportunities.Growth Opportunities.Compensation: $36-$40/hour (Compensation will depend on qualifications and experience.)EEO Statement: We are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
