Job TypeFull-timeDescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY:The primary responsibility of this role is to support the day-to-day activities associated with all aspects of manufacturing operations including but not limited to installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery and equipment throughout all facilities.This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident.Essential Job FunctionsMaintain and improve the safe working environment on the shop floor and its surrounding areas. Establish a proactive and reactive maintenance program. Actively participate in our safety program. Actively participate in maintaining our AS9100 certification. Reduce machine down time to achieve a minimum of 77% machine utilization from machine availability time. Actively participate in team meetings, problem-solving and data collection. Work assignments may be advanced in complexity and non-routine in nature where established techniques or procedures do not yet exist; requires a dynamic outlook and the ability to adapt and overcome as new challenges arise. Actively participate in CI teams that are focused on root cause analysis, continual improvement activities, and new product development, as well as employee training and development. Provide guidance and training to Additive Technicians relative to their preventative maintenance obligations such as filter changes, etc. Work very closely with the Plant Manager, Engineering, Purchasing, and other departments to assist in the company's manufacturing operations. Travel to other facilities on an as needed basis. Perform other duties as assigned. Regular and punctual attendance. Follow all Company policies and procedures. RequirementsSKILL REQUIREMENTS:Commitment to a safety culture where safety is the first consideration before starting any task. Proficient in problem analysis, problem-solving and successful resolution. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and group communication skills. OEM additive equipment maintenance training. Introduce new and innovative maintenance inventory solutions. Qualifications7-10 years of working in a manufacturing environment in a maintenance / technical role. Proven experience modifying control logic. Experience leading equipment installs and modifications in a manufacturing environment. Experience working with CNC machines. Preferred experience working in CAD. Work EnvironmentThe performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where all areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shops, and other mandatory safety equipment. For the most part, ambient temperatures with typical plant lighting and manufacturing equipment are present throughout the facility. Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms (including above shoulder height and below the waist); climb/balance; stoop, kneel, crouch/bend, or crawl; talk or hear; and lift to [##] pounds. Ability and comfortability to work in small confine spaces while following proper safety protocol.
