BMS/EPMS Project Manager

Amteck is hiring for a BMS/EPMS Project Manager. This position reports to our Vice President of Electrical Service.A BMS (Building Management System) Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of projects involving design, installation, integration, commissioning, and handover of building automation systems. This role ensures projects completed on time, within budget, and to quality and safety standards while managing technical aspects and coordinating numerous stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Execution: Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.Technical Oversight: Oversee BMS design reviews, installation, and commissioning, ensuring compliance with specifications and building codes. Ensure integration of BMS with HVAC, lighting, security, electrical, and fire systems.Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Serve as primary point of contact for clients, general contractors, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers. Manage vendor selection, contract negotiations, and lead project coordination meetings.Risk & Quality Management: Identify project risks and implement mitigation plans. Ensure all works comply with safety regulations and quality assurance standards.Testing & Handover: Lead Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and integrated systems testing (IST). Manage project closeout process, ensuring all documentation (as-built drawings, operation manuals) is completed and systems handed over to operations teams.Financial Management: Oversee project financials, including cost control, forecasting, margin analysis, tracking change orders (variation orders), and assist with billing and payments.Qualifications and SkillsExperience: 3-5+ years of project management experience in construction or building services, with a strong background in BMS and control systems. Experience in mission-critical facilities like data centers is a plus.Technical Knowledge: Deep technical knowledge of BMS platforms (Trend, Tridium, Siemens, Honeywell, Johnson Controls Metasys), HVAC systems, control logic, and integration protocols (BACnet, Modbus).Education/Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Controls) preferred. PMP, PRINCE2, or BMS-specific certifications (BCIA) advantageous.Soft SkillsExcellent leadership and communication skills (written and verbal).Strong organizational and time-management abilities with high attention to detail.Effective problem-solving and critical-thinking capabilities.Adaptability and the ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.Other RequirementsProficiency in project management software (MS Project), MS Office Suite, and BMS software tools.Knowledge of construction safety regulations (OSHA, CSCS certification).Willingness to travel to various construction sites as needed.SkillsA BMS Project Manager requires a blend of core project management competencies and deep technical knowledge specific to building automation and mechanical systems.
