This role is designed for an entry-level student looking to gain real-world working experience in corporate Finance & Accounting.Job DescriptionAt Concentric, the Accounting Intern serves a critical role in the Finance and Accounting department by managing daily accounting tasks and assisting with the software data migration from one system to another. This is a great opportunity to learn how an Accounting department works and gain valuable Accounting experience at a private company.This is a part-time, in-office position (20-30 hours per week) based in Marlborough, MA. The expected in-office schedule is Tuesday through Thursday, with flexibility as needed.Pay: $20 - $25 per hourThis is a summer internship position, beginning in either May or June and ending in August.Responsibilities:Assist with financial data entry and analysis.Assist with a large data migration project including data validation, report generation, and moving key information from our current ERP to SharePoint.Collaborate with team members on special projects.Maintain accurate records and documentation.Perform other duties as assigned by the team.Qualifications:Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration, with a focus on Accounting, and ideally candidates finishing their sophomore, junior or senior year.Well-versed in Accounting principles and strong understanding of financial reporting principles and practices.Very strong attention to detail and strong analytical skills.Collaborative and team-oriented.Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Experience with other Microsoft products including Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Office365.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Prior internship or work experience in finance or accounting, or experience using an ERP systems is a plus.This Finance & Accounting Internship provides a hands-on learning experience for individuals looking to start a career in the finance or accounting industry.
