Account Manager - Juvenile Specialty Southeast & TX
Thule has an exciting opportunity for an Account Manager in our Juvenile and Dogs categories for the southeast and Texas. The Account Manager is responsible for managing Thule sales for juvenile and pet products within their region through specialty retail distribution.The candidate's goals will be to gain aggressive profitable revenue growth (organic and new business development), increase profitability, expand distribution and gain market share in existing accounts.The focus will be on building strategic partnerships and business development within the southeast and Texas region for the specialty channels of distribution, to obtain placement on standard lists for our products by leveraging channel partner relationships, developing a cohesive go-to-market strategy, negotiating optimal program investments, and engaging channel partner Sales Reps.The desired candidate will also be capable of building relationships with all existing Thule retailers and will be able to grow our distribution quickly based on industry knowledge and dealer relations. Candidate will lead and manage a sales team targeting all channels of trade for aggressive long-term growth. The Thule objective is to become a top three supplier of premium juvenile products in the US market withing 24 months.ResponsibilitiesDeliver the Commercial Sales budget and 3-year growth objectives for the U.S. market within their region.Leverage a strong understanding of the channel product flow, margins, and marketing programs to effectively manage both our Channel Partner and Corporate End User relationships to drive profitable sales growthAbility to quickly gain strong product knowledge in Thule’s AWK and AWD product categories, versus our competition, and implement a consultative sales approach at the Executive levelQualify and prioritize opportunities to build a robust sales funnel and work with Sales Analysts and Management to accurately forecast quarterly sales.Work collaboratively with the AWK Regional Training Mangers and provide field support, coaching & guidance for sales reps through frequent contact, joint sales calls, training sessions, business development meetings, trade shows, and marketing program development.Support key partner or reseller events within the account territory and named account list to include developing a presentation targeted for the specific audience and presenting it to highlight Thule’s value propositions and strategic partnership benefits.Possess an in-depth juvenile market contact network, provide support to key partners to include developing presentations targeted for the specific audience and presenting it to highlight Thule’s value products benefits vs competitor products.Recommended Position RequirementsB.A or B.S. degree and 5+ years of industry experienceSales professional with a proven track record and contacts in the Juvenile marketDriving sales growth with a varied customer base across diverse channels and vertical customer segments. Experience managing sales reps to facilitate their best-selling efforts.Self-motivated, detail-oriented, with strong desire and enjoyment in selling juvenile productsOutstanding written/verbal communication skills as well as excellent phone skillsAbility to exercise judgment and discretion within predefined parametersProficient in use of Microsoft Office suite (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and a working knowledge of CRM software with a preference for Salesforce.comAbility to lift 40 lbs. required to transport product samples and set-up tradeshows and displaysReady to travel domestically and internationally as neededWe believe in strong teamwork both within your own team but also across teams.
