To create inclusivity and belonging, SIFF expects everyone participating in our events to uphold and embrace this commitment.About The PositionThe Program Coordinator handles the day-to-day administrative needs of the Programming Department while communicating with all appropriate parties, both in and out of the organization, to ensure seamless planning for year-round programs, including Cinema partnerships and events.Department: ProgramsReports to: Artistic DirectorStatus: Full-Time, Non-exemptWork Schedule: HybridSalary Range: $52,000 – $55,000Work Environment: SIFF requires employees reside and complete work duties within Washington State. This is a hybrid work role with a minimum of 2 days in the office located at our admin offices.Benefits and ExpectationsThis is a full-time FLSA overtime non-exempt positionSick leaveVacation PTO scaling with tenurePaid holidaysAccess to discounts and passes to some SIFF programming and events hosted by neighboring Arts organizationsPrimary ResponsibilitiesMaintain FileMaker database information for programs, working directly with distributors/partners to coordinate all in-house aspects of film bookings.Box office and ticketing administration, including reporting and coordination with Finance on timely invoicing and payment of rental feesAdminister all aspects of the annual Documentary Grant for Courageous Filmmaking. This includes communication with applicants and grantees, maintaining record keeping of financial agreements and invoices, and updating records and webpages with current information.Coordinate opportunities for audience engagement through co-presentation partners, introductions, panel discussions, and filmmaker interactions.Management and creation of Run of Show documents for all special Cinema events, collating information across departments Be an active physical presence at cinema screenings, events, programs, and in the film community, including introducing programs, working with guests for screenings, and providing a resource for audience interaction.Researching new programs and film opportunities and communicating with distributors, other ground-breaking exhibitors, and potential collaborators. Collaborate on strategies for cinema programs, including approaches to in-cinema marketing, operations, advertising, printed materials, and social media.Opportunity to participate in programming for the Seattle International Film Festival (Spring).Copy-writing of all content for website and printed materials (such as monthly flyers, calendar, ad copy)Other duties as assignedThe Ideal Candidate Will Have3+ years working within the arts / cultural sectorIntellectual curiosity, creativity, and enthusiasm for bringing distinctive film and video programs to a broad public in accessible ways.Strong time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills; able to set priorities and meet deadlines as well as work independently and with minimal supervision.Proven project management skills with the ability to take a project from conception through completion.Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate internally and externally, and cultivate strong relationships with community partners, donors, and colleagues.A positive and professional attitude with strong diplomacy skills and professionalism; this includes the ability to always maintain confidentiality and discretion.Ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams in a shared office environment.Knowledge of Mac OS and MS Office; Filemaker; Google mail, calendar, and Drive; Adobe Acrobat.
