For over 20 years, LER has partnered with customers across North America to meet their engineering resource challenges.Learn more about us on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/ler-techforce/life/9e3c2a5c-579d-4526-b79f-2bf63a79bedd/What you will be doingReview, modify, test, validate, and release firmware and software updates for motor, generator, alternator, and MGU systemsSupport software integration, debugging, and validation activities across embedded systemsAnalyze system- and vehicle-level data to identify and resolve software, communication, and integration issuesInvestigate and troubleshoot CAN communication concernsVerify compliance with customer specifications and system requirementsMonitor and validate core system functionality and performanceImprove software robustness and reduce susceptibility to false fault detectionCollaborate with engineering SMEs to implement and adapt new and existing software featuresDocument software changes, validation results, findings, and release informationProvide onsite engineering support primarily in Columbus, Indiana, with flexibility to support other locations in town as neededWhat you'll need to be successfulEssential:Experience reviewing, modifying, validating, and releasing embedded software or firmwareStrong understanding of alternator, generator, motor, and aftertreatment system functionalityHands-on experience with CAN communication analysis, diagnostics, and troubleshootingAbility to analyze system data and identify software, communication, and integration issuesFamiliarity with requirements compliance and validation processes (including CEN specifications)Strong problem-solving, debugging, technical communication, and documentation skillsAbility to work independently while collaborating with cross‑functional engineering teamsPreferred:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related fieldExperience with embedded software development and validationKnowledge of automotive, industrial, or off‑highway vehicle control systemsExperience using CAN analysis and diagnostic tools (e.g., CANalyzer, CANoe, Vehicle Spy, or equivalent)Familiarity with firmware release and configuration management processesWhat you'll getFull benefits: medical, dental, vision, HSA and FSA401K with match and immediate vestingShort‑term & long‑term disability, life insurance, and optional benefitsEmployee Assistance ProgramEmployee DiscountsOngoing professional development including technical training and leadership developmentOpportunity to work on industry‑leading projectsReady to Apply?If you're passionate about embedded software integration and supporting advanced generator and alternator systems and want to make an impact with a forward‑thinking team-click "Easy Apply" now and take the next step in your career with LER TechForce.
