Manufacturing Systems and Scheduling Analyst

Manufacturing Systems & Scheduling AnalystThe Manufacturing Production Scheduler is responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining production schedules, optimizing resource utilization, and collaborating across departments to align production plans with material availability, capacity constraints, and customer demand.Key Position ResponsibilitiesCreate and maintain detailed production schedules based on sales orders, inventory levels, production capacity, and delivery requirements.Prioritize jobs to optimize workforce, machine utilization, and throughput.Monitor day-to-day progress of production activities and adjust schedules to address bottlenecks, delays, or changes in demand.Communicate with sales, production, engineering, procurement and logistics to ensure schedule feasibility.Participate in production planning meetings and promptly escale issues to minimize impacts.Inventory & Resource ManagementTrack inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing to ensure necessary materials are available for production.Forecast resource needs and recommend adjustments to avoid shortages or excess.Prepare and present production reports on schedule adherence, inventory usage, capacity load, and performance trends.Identify opportunities to improve scheduling accuracy, reduce lead times, and support efficiency initiatives.Support integration of new products, engineering changes, and process enhancements into the production plan.Technical Planning & Systems OptimizationSupport continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process inefficiencies and recommending data-driven solutions.Utilize and support integrated manufacturing systems, data flows, and logic-based scheduling tools to improve real-time decision-making and operational performance.Partner with IT, engineering, and operations to support system enhancements, automation, and digital manufacturing initiatives.Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data models to provide real-time visibility into production performance and constraints.Support implementation and adoption of new planning tools, scheduling modules, or system upgrades.Ensure data integrity across integrated systems to improve forecast accuracy, execution reliability, and continuous improvement outcomes.QualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering technology, industrial engineering, supply chain management, or related technical fields, or equivalent experience (minimum 5 years in a related role).Familiarity and proficiency with ERP systems.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel or other data-analysis tools.Strong analytical, systems-based thinking, and problem-solving skills advantageous in optimizing production systems and scheduling logic.Comfortable with technical systems integration, data flows, and logic-based scheduling for real-time responsiveness in manufacturing environments.BenefitsHealth, dental, vision, and life insurance.401(k) with employer match.Profit sharing.Paid time off and paid holidays.Adoption and foster care reimbursement.Partial paid family leave.Product discounts.On-site licensed professional counselor.Team of innovative, driven, and caring coworkers.Employment OpportunityAster Brands is an equal-opportunity employer; everyone is encouraged to apply.J-18808-Ljbffr
